“With respect to the debates it is my belief that this is exactly the time when the American people need to hear from the person who in roughly 40 days will be responsible for this mess,” he said. “I think it is going to be part of the president’s job to deal with more than one thing at once.

Obama can nail the Presidency if he ties McCain to Bush and putting Social Security in the hands of a broken Wall St.

It’s a debate over the program that could resurface as a major issue in the closing weeks of the campaign given the wild swings in financial markets.

“If my opponent had his way, the millions of Floridians who rely on it would’ve had their Social Security tied up in the stock market this week. Millions would’ve watched as the market tumbled and their nest egg disappeared before their eyes,” he said.

“I know Sen. McCain is talking about a ‘casino culture’ on Wall Street — but the fact is, he’s the one who wants to gamble with your life savings and that is not going to happen when I’m president. When I’m president, we’re not going to gamble with Social Security.”

Keep it up, Barack and Joe.  McCain and Falin will have no response to this other than negative attacks and they are already being demonized for their low-road tactics.  There is no way that Harriet Quayle will be able to make a cohesive argument against McCain’s support for reckless privatization of SS..

Wall Street has been bailed out of it’s financial woes by the tax payer…so where is Main St’s help?  Nope…nada for you and me.  Basically, the wealthiest 1% have their investments shored up by the fed and then whine that they may have to pay 2% more in taxes so that you and I can reignite this nightmare system of commerce.
