From the AP:

WASHINGTON — The nation’s unemployment rate zoomed to a five-year high of 6.1 percent in August as employers slashed 84,000 jobs, dramatic proof of the mounting damage a deeply troubled economy is inflicting on workers and businesses alike.”

Bill O’Reilly aired his interview with Barack Obama for one reason and one reason only: to make sure the stink of this news doesn’t take the bloom off the turdblossom that was the RNC convention.  The day after Palin’s speech the DOW sold off 350 pts.  Now these horrendous job numbers that are compounded by eight months of negative job losses will bring the average Joe back down to earth.  Bill probably is hating the fact that he can’t air this interview on prime time, but he has to serve the party by trying to distract the nation.

How can you say that you are a catalyst for change when you are pandering to a divisive conservative base, proud of a near 100% voting record with one of the most disastrous president’s in history, and have no new answers for a McSame administration (other than putting lipstick on a pit bull), and think that middle class people earn under $5 million per year?  I’m not even touching the lack of foreign policy (“BOMB-BOMB-BOMB-IRAN”) and the the Iraqi war perpetuation…the list goes on, but these guys couldn’t be more out of touch if they lived on Pluto!
